About me:
Hmmmm.. where should I start? My name is Jeffrey Glaszer, I have been in the Graphic Design Industry since 2001. Working with the Family sign business (Signmasters, Tinley Park, IL.) With them I have done work for many large clientel such as: Walgreens, Jim Beam and Sams Club. I have recently took on my own clients which consist of, Whispers Coffee and Tea, Flo MMA and www. College Cars Chicago. com
I am a normal everyday guy in the suburbs of Chicago, taken away by the skyline of Chicago, inspired by the design concepts it holds, always tryin to figure out how it was built everytime I drive in from Lake Shore. Im out to achieve my goals I have set for myself. This is me. This site is me. Everything you are seeing to the words I am typing. I love Graphic Design. Its my Passion, My Life and one of my goals to operate a sucessful graphic design company unlike no other. I want to be different. I strive to be different. This page should be different. It shold be Beyond Ordinary.
What im looking for.....
I am looking for inspired people like myself to add to what I have put together. I want to be successful in this business. I do not know how to do it all, but I think this is a very good start. Maybe Ill run out of time, Maybe I will run out of money, what I do know is that it is heading in the right direction. Im looking for people to enjoy the ride with me and combine efforts to put graphic and web design Beyond Ordinary. I want to take our clients to an era above the rest. Im looking for a few more goal drivin ambitious people to help progress what I have started.
Within the next year.....
I hope to have a few Independent Designers become a part of L.K.i. Design to take it to the next level. I have many goals and ideas jotted down, voice recorded, emailed to myself and notes saved within my I Phone. Those things are my building blocks. Thats how this page was devoloped.
I hope to start an office downtown with an "apartment graphics design co" mindset. Where a few top Chicago Graphic Designers come together pay for there share of office space in a downtown apartment or condo building. This would be used as an office to colaberate ideas, learn from each other, share and eventually build your own design site and move on to your own goals, ambitions and business, whatever that may be. There is nothing better then working downtown, around people, talking with people and eventually taking bits and pieces of your day and putting them into your layout.
Some business concepts: (Inspired by how Google takes care of their staff. )
-Every Friday work on building your own website with your own design and artwork with pay.
-Taking days off when its right to do so... First nice day of spring, Gorgeous summer days, Snowfall as today was (February 9th, 2010) and even random days just because. I believe in keeping people happy. This is something that has been takin away from alot of companies these days.. WORK WORK WORK sometimes is not the key to a successful business.
-Sometimes you need breaks or a day off in Design. Refresh your mind and thoughts. (My college teachers even used this effectively and put us into the same routine. Why should you be yelled at? Obviously your boss doesnt understand a thing about design!
In summary...
I may not know it all, I believe in what I have started and will continue to improve upon it as the days go by. This website probably will never be completed, I keep adding modifying and improving it every day. If you browse through my work you will see it is Beyond Ordinary! Being different isnt a bad thing if you know how to design things properly and were tought the proper techniques. It takes you to the next level where alot of todays business's are lacking. Branding yourself is one of the main keys in a successful business. For example, would you want a webpage based on a template, that maybe a million other people are using as well. If yes, that is not the worst thing to do, but If you want to take design skills, proper layout, structure, typography that I have learned throughout the years and build something completely unique and one of a kind, this is where L.K.i. Design thrives!
***Meta tags: Graphic Design, Logo Design, Web Design, Chicago Logo Design, Graphic Design Chicago, Silkscreening, Posters, Large Format Printing, L.K.i. Design, lki design, Graphics, Posters***
The meta tags you see above play an important part in search engine. These words are always hidden within the html of a website and play a vital role in the www today. I have shown them to you so you can get a basic understanding of the behind the scenes of a website. Ive been learning about these things for months now. They are what a successful web page needs to start off with to be found "on the web". Its the cool thing to do in this part of the market. In 2010, If you own a business and rely on your website without SEO (search engine optimization) you are most likely not going to make it. If you come back here a year from now and I survive this hard econmoic time. You will know I learned my SEO properly and can trust the company I am trying to "brand" in todays field. With using helpful do it yourself sites like www.sagegang.com, you can realize one of two things. One, you have the patience to learn and do it yourself. Or two, you can hire L.K.i. Design to work with you and save you money in the long run.
About the design concept:
As this page suggests "simple sometimes..... is better". Because of technology simple is faster cleaner and still can grab the same effect as Flash or movie styled page. The L.K.i. jumppad I have created with my home page is inspired from Apple. Their simple and clean look is how I enter the graphic design scene. The Imac's, I-Phones, and most recently IPad have taken over the industry and show no signs of stopping. I have always been lookin for the new look, new style, I want to be the one that changes things. I want to be the best at what I do, if I dont suceed, I know I put my all into what I believe in. Maybe the people arnt ready for what I have to offer, but most tell me its time for change. Here I am, This is me, these are my goals, this is my gallery. Enjoy!
